New Ground Rules for 2012
The RMLBR committee has established the following ground rules. This will allow us to run a smooth and more efficient rodeo for all contestants and families.
- There will be no turn outs after the Wednesday before the rodeo. If a contestant draws out after Wednesday, the contestant will be responsible for 100% of all fees ($9.00 National, facility charge, stock charge and entry fees). EXCEPTION: A Vet release or Doctor release – the committee will waive the fee associated with that event. Entire fee may be waived if the contestant is not coming to the rodeo if proper release is provided to rodeo secretary. If proper release is not provided, contestant will go on the National office Disqualification (DQ) list.
- Inappropriate behavior by contestant or any family member or friends will not be tolerated: Any behavior or action that disrupts the flow of the rodeo, in the opinion of the judges and/or appeals committee will result in a $100 fine per incident (i.e., but not limited to cursing/foul language) payable to the RMLBR committee, and/or disqualification from the rodeo.
Appeals Committee: This committee will be made up of three committee members. Any questions or concerns will be brought to this committee and not to the judges in the arena. Failure to abide by this rule will result in an automatic no time or disqualification.

To win an event saddle or award at the spring series you must enter and attend all six rodeos. The contestant must also place in that event at at least one of the six rodeos. For example, if you enter the bull riding and do not cover at any of the six rodeos then you are not eligible for the saddles. You must have at least 1 point to be eligible for a saddle or an award.
The Springs Series will have an appeals committee. This committee will be made up of three committee members. Any questions or concerns will be brought to this committee and not to the judges in the arena. Failure to abide by this rule will result in an automatic no time or disqualification.
I wanted to clarify the ground rules for the Mailbox in the trail course event.
The rule book states that you must make an attempt to put the mail in the mailbox.
An attempt will be defined by three parts
- Opening the mailbox
- Placing the mail in the mailbox
- Closing the mailbox
Failure to complete steps 1 & 2 will result in a no time. Failure to complete step 3 will result in a 10 second penalty.
